Volunteers Needed

The Town of Wyoming is looking to fill some vacancies on the Planning & Zoning Committee and the Board of Adjustments.  Now is your chance to make a difference in your community! Interested parties should email (townofwyoming@comcast.net) or mail (120 W. Camden Wyoming Ave, Wyoming, DE 19934) a letter of interest to Wyoming Town Hall. Planning & Zoning meet once a month to discuss and plan Wyoming’s future. They are currently working on the Comprehensive Plan and updating the Land Use and Development Code.  Board of Adjustments meets on a needed basis.

Holiday Lights Contest Registration

Below you will find the registration link to the inaugural Camden-Wyoming Holiday Lights Contest! Things to Remember: Registration is open from now until November 30th, 2020. After you register your home and or business, a map will be created and posted on both Camden and Wyoming’s Town page by December 5th. Each contestant will have a designated identification. Starting December 5th and running through December 13th, the public will have the opportunity to vote once for their favorite contestant in Camden, once for their favorite contestant in Wyoming, and once for their overall top choice between the two Towns. Each of the winners will receive a prize and the grand prize winner will receive the honor of having a Camden-Wyoming Holiday Lights trophy placed in their respective Town’s Town Hall for a full year until the next contest! We’re Moving!!

The Wyoming Town Hall and Wyoming Police Department will be moving to our new location at 120 W. Camden Wyoming Ave. Wyoming Town Hall will be closed from noon on Friday October 30th to Tuesday November 3rd. We will reopen for regular hours on Wednesday November 4th.  Feel free to leave a message at 302-697-2966 or email us @ townofwyoming@comcast.net, the staff will periodically check messages for urgent needs.  Stay tuned for an open house event once we get settled in!

PUBLIC NOTICE The Town of Wyoming Board of Adjustments will be holding a Public Hearing on Friday, October 23rd, 2020, at 6:00 p.m. virtually. Please visit wyoming.delaware.gov for log in information 7 days prior to meeting. This hearing is scheduled to hear, discuss, and answer questions pertaining to the Variance Request on the following properties: 42 S. Railroad Ave 307 N. Layton Ave The issue will then be voted on by the Board of Adjustments. This request was initially heard by the Board of Adjustments on September 22, 2020. If you are unable to attend, please address all questions and concerns in writing to the Wyoming Town Hall, 1 N. Railroad Avenue, Wyoming, DE 19934 no later than 4:30 p.m. October 20th, 2020.


Halloween 2020 in Wyoming

Halloween will look a little different this year in Wyoming. We will be handing candy out at the train platform but will not have our usual food items nor drinks. Wyoming town staff is working on candy slides to protect our volunteers and maintain social distancing.  Many towns are waiting for guidance from the Governor’s office, but nothing has been released yet. Wyoming Town Council has decided that we will turn our lights on for the kids this year.  We encourage our residents to decorate and turn on your lights to make this the best Halloween yet! You can participate in no contact ways such as leaving candy at the end of your driveway for kids to collect as they pass. PUBLIC NOTICE The Town of Wyoming will be holding a Public Hearing on Monday, October 5, 2020, at 6:30 p.m. virtually in conjunction with the regular council meeting.  Please visit wyoming.delaware.gov for log in information 7 days prior to meeting. This hearing is scheduled to hear, discuss, and answer questions pertaining to Ordinance #53-20 Clarify Conditional Use Expiration.  The issue will then be voted on by Council at the October Town Council Meeting. This request was initially heard by the Planning & Zoning Committee on August 26, 2020, at 6:30 p.m. at their virtual.  If you are unable to attend, please address all questions and concerns in writing to the Wyoming Town Hall, 1 N. FLOW TESTING Date: MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 14, 2020 Location: 516 Walmart Dr., Camden DE (Lowes Home Improvement Store) Time Period: 8:00AM – 12:00PM   The Camden-Wyoming Sewer & Water Authority is advising residents regarding a Flow Test on the fire suppression system at Lowes Home Improvement Store located in Camden DE. This testing will be performed by SA Comunale for insurance purposes.   This may result in temporary and harmless discoloration of the water and/or fluctuations in water pressure. Should this occur, running a cold water tap for a short period will help to restore water color to normal. To avoid possible discoloration of light-colored clothing, residents may wish not to launder during the time indicated above and for at the next 24 hours after testing is complete.   We appreciate your understanding and apologize for any inconveniences caused during this time.
