Wyoming Park Temporary Closure 8/2/2022

The Wyoming Park will be closed to the public starting August 2, 2022 until further notice. The town anticipates the closure to last for approximately 2 months. We apologize for any inconvenience this will cause for our residents and visitors. We understand that this is not the ideal time to close the park.

The park will be under construction for a new accessible inclusive playground. The construction will include the removal of old playground equipment, tree and tree root removal, leveling of new playground area and concrete work for rubber flooring for the new playground area.

The playground will feature a concrete walkway and poured rubber floor for easy accessibility, a large climbing structure, interactive sensory items, accessible merry go round and so many great play pieces.

If you have any questions, please contact town staff. Keep an eye out for the grand opening event upon completion.

DEA National Rx Take Back

The drug overdose epidemic in the United States is a clear and present public health, public safety, and national security threat. DEA’s National Prescription Drug Take Back Day reflects DEA’s commitment to Americans’ safety and health, encouraging the public to remove unneeded medications from their homes as a measure of preventing medication misuse and opioid addiction from ever starting.

DEA is committed to making our communities safer and healthier, and we can do this by reducing overdoses and overdose deaths. While the community does its part to turn in unneeded medications and remove them from potential harm, we are doing our part to further reduce drug-related violence.

On this webpage,  https://www.dea.gov/takebackday, are resources to help you dispose of unneeded medications in your home, seek substance abuse treatment and learn more about the drug overdose epidemic in the United States.
