Fishing Derby

The Wyoming Police Department is planning to hold its tenth annual fishing derby on Saturday, June 15, 2019 at the Wyoming Park for youth up to the age of 15. Those children participating are required to bring an adult in the hopes of encouraging parents and children to have fun together. There will be no charge for registration; therefore, we are asking for donations from some of our local businesses to help us fund prizes for the derby. Anything you can do for us will be greatly appreciated.

Trash and Recycling

Waste removal isn’t exactly an exciting subject, but we do need to give you some reminders.  Recently some residents have been putting building materials out with their trash or recycling, and our trash company WILL NOT take building materials.  This includes concrete blocks, boards, siding, shingles, cabinets, etc.

Also it is important that you use the proper bins.

Only trash can be placed in a trash bin.

Only recycling can be placed in a recycle bin.

Yard waste must be placed in a yard waste bin or any other plastic container, or biodegradable bags.

Unsure of what is recyclable and acceptable yard waste? Please review the following information.

Recycle Yard Info

Dirt is NOT considered yard waste.  Hanging pots are NOT yard waste, only the plants in them.  Branches can be bundled together and tied in manageable 4 foot lengths.  For those of you that have been doing this correctly, we thank you so much.  For new residents to town and any others not sure why their trash wasn’t picked up on a given day, some of these issues could be the reason why.  Thank you for complying.

If you would like to purchase a Yard Waste container, please contact Town Hall. There will a one time charge of $75.

Spring is one of the four conventional temperate seasons, following winter and preceding summer. At the spring equinox, days and nights are approximately twelve hours long, with day length increasing and night length decreasing as the season progresses.
