The Town of Wyoming will NOT be having a council election on March 1, 2025
Council Positions:
Two (2) Council seats with a term of office of two (2) years (March 2025 to March 2027)
- Only two (2) candidates filed for these positions – filling the open seats:
- Melissa Wooleyhand
- Cathy George
The incumbents will be sworn into their respective positions at the March 2025 Council Meeting.

SOLICITATION OF CANDIDATES FOR WYOMING TOWN COUNCIL
MUNICIPAL ELECTION to be held Saturday, March 1, 2025
Positions Open:
- Two (2) Council seats with a term of office of two (2) years (March 2025 to March 2027)
Eligibility Requirements:
- 21 years of age or older by the date of the election
- Citizen of the State of Delaware
- A qualified elector
- Resident of the Town of Wyoming for at least one (1) year prior to the election
- Good results of a criminal background check (no person having been convicted of a felony, of any crime involving moral turpitude, of any crime of dishonesty, or of any crime involving fraud, bribery, or embezzlement, will be qualified to run)
Procedure for filing:
Submit the following:
(Available at Wyoming Town Hall)
- Completed and signed Certificate of Intention
- Completed and signed Affidavit
- Certificate of Intention for an office paying less than $1,000 per year or if you intend to receive and spend less than $2,000 in your campaign.
- Results of a criminal background check by the Del State Bureau of Investigation (739-2528)

FIRE HYDRANT FLOW TESTING
Date: Friday, October 4, 2024
Location: Walmart Drive in front of Lowes Home Improvement Store, Camden DE
Time Period: 2:00PM – 4:00PM
The Camden-Wyoming Sewer & Water Authority is advising residents regarding a Fire Hydrant Flow Test to be completed by request of Bear Industries.
This may result in temporary and harmless discoloration of the water and/or fluctuations in water pressure. Should this occur, running a cold water tap for a short period will help to restore water color to normal.
To avoid possible discoloration of light-colored clothing, residents may wish not to launder during the time indicated above and for at the next 24 hours after testing is complete.
We appreciate your understanding and apologize for any inconveniences caused during this time.

The Camden-Wyoming Sewer & Water Authority is advising residents regarding
Fire Line flushing at the location of Sunset Village Apartments located off Upper
King Rd and Tallman Dr.
This may result in temporary and harmless discoloration of the water and/or
fluctuations in water pressure. Should this occur, running a cold water tap for a
short period will help to restore water color to normal.
To avoid possible discoloration of light-colored clothing, residents may wish not to
launder during the time indicated above and for at the next 24 hours after testing is

Full-time Officers Wanted
The Wyoming Police Department is now accepting applications for certified and non-certified police officers.
Update to Bulk Pick up
Starting July 1, 2024- Bulk will only be picked up once a month. The pick up will take place on the last Friday of each month. Please see https://wyoming.delaware.gov/trash-recycling-schedule/ for updated calendar.
Over the next few weeks all residents will receive a yard waste container. This will now be included with our contract with Republic.
