Poll Workers and Board of Elections Needed

The Town of Wyoming is looking for volunteers to work the February 25, 2023 election. If you are interested, please contact Wyoming Town Hall @ 302-697-2966 or townofwyoming@comcast.net. The deadline for interest is Friday, January 27, 2023, at 4:30 p.m. The appointments will be made at the February 6th council meeting.

Poll Worker Responsibilities:

(1) Verify voters’ identity and address.

(2) Conduct Election in a fair and equal manner.

(3) Prepare the polling place for Election.

Board of Elections Responsibilities:

(1)Supervise Election.

(2) Count Absentee Ballots.

(3) Count votes at end of Election and announce winners.

(4) Break any ties by coin toss.

***Board of Elections member may not be an immediate family member of candidates. This includes mother, father, son, daughter, brother, sister; including half-brothers/sisters, step family members and in-laws. ****

Public Hearing will be held before the Town Council of the Town of Wyoming to consider the following:

The review of the Planning and Zoning Commission’s proposed fully updated text for the Land Use and Development Code. This meeting is scheduled to hear, discuss, and answer any questions pertaining to the newly updated Land Use and Development Code.

If you are unable to attend, please address all questions and concerns in writing to the Wyoming Town Hall, 120 W. Camden Wyoming Avenue, Wyoming, DE 19934 no later than 4:30 p.m. January 25th, 2023.
