MUNICIPAL ELECTION 2022
The Town of Wyoming will NOT be having a council election on February 26, 2022
Council Positions:
Two (2) Council seats with a term of office of two (2) years (March 2022 to March 2024)
- Only two (2) candidates filed for these positions – filling the open seats
- Tracy Johovic
- Kyle Dixon
The incumbents will be sworn into the respective positions at the March 7, 2022 Council Meeting.

Police Officers Wanted
POLICE OFFICER
Full Time Positions
The Wyoming Police Department is currently accepting applications for Full Time Police Officers.
- Non-certified Officers starting at $44,000 with an increase to $48,256 after successful completion of Police Academy and 12-week field training.
- Certified Officers starting minimum at $48,256 or higher depending on experience. $5,000 sign-on bonus.
The following are the requirements for the position:
- -21 years of age upon the completion of the academy
- -U.S. Citizen
- -High School Diploma or Equivalent
- -Possession of a valid driver’s license
The Wyoming Police Department offers a competitive starting salary, medical insurance, paid vacation; take home vehicle and retirement through the State Municipal Plan.
Non-certified applicants who meet the requirements will need to pass the following to be considered for the position:
- Written test
- Physical agility test
- Background investigation
- Psychological examination
- Medical examination
- Drug screening
- Certified applicants will be given a conditional hire until they meet all the requirements set by the Council on Police Training and a modified field training program.
- Non-certified applicants who are given a conditional hire will be required to complete the basic training program at the Police Academy and 12-week field training program successfully.

EMERGENCY WATER LEAK REPAIR
LOCATION: 200 CHAPEL DRIVE (CHAPEL CROFT DEV)

An emergency water leak repair will be completed on Wednesday.
Until this repair is made, you will experience low pressure and possible discoloration
of water until the repair is completed.
Once repairs begin you may experience water loss near this location until repairs are
completed. Once repairs are complete, water will be restored, same day.
Once water is restored you may need to run the cold water to remove any air in the
lines and to restore pressure. In addition, you may experience some discoloration in
the water once restored.
You may wish to refrain from doing laundry during this time
and at least 24 hours after repairs are completed. If you should continue to experience
any issues after a few days, please call our office.

Yard Waste – Please read!
The Town of Wyoming and Republic Services apologize for recent problems with trash, recycling, bulk and yard waste pick up. Unfortunately they have been having pandemic issues with the staff. They will try to send drivers to this area for yard waste pick after normal routes and/or Thursday Jan. 13th. Please put your yard waste out so that it can be picked up within the next couple of days.
