Halloween 2020 in Wyoming

Halloween will look a little different this year in Wyoming. We will be handing candy out at the train platform but will not have our usual food items nor drinks. Wyoming town staff is working on candy slides to protect our volunteers and maintain social distancing.

Many towns are waiting for guidance from the Governor’s office, but nothing has been released yet. Wyoming Town Council has decided that we will turn our lights on for the kids this year.

We encourage our residents to decorate and turn on your lights to make this the best Halloween yet! You can participate in no contact ways such as leaving candy at the end of your driveway for kids to collect as they pass. You can create a candy slide to keep kids from coming to the door.

We are asking that you practice the guidelines already in place with social distancing and wearing a mask when within 6 feet of someone outside of your household.

FLOW TESTING- MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 14, 2020

FLOW TESTING

Date: MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 14, 2020

Location: 516 Walmart Dr., Camden DE

(Lowes Home Improvement Store)

Time Period: 8:00AM – 12:00PM

The Camden-Wyoming Sewer & Water Authority is advising residents regarding a Flow Test on the fire suppression system at Lowes Home Improvement Store located in Camden DE. This testing will be performed by SA Comunale for insurance purposes.

This may result in temporary and harmless discoloration of the water and/or fluctuations in water pressure. Should this occur, running a cold water tap for a short period will help to restore water color to normal. To avoid possible discoloration of light-colored clothing, residents may wish not to launder during the time indicated above and for at the next 24 hours after testing is complete.

We appreciate your understanding and apologize for any inconveniences caused during this time. Contact the office at 302/697-6372 during regular business hours of 7:30 am – 4:00 pm; Monday through Friday, should you have any further questions.

New Notification System for Wyoming Residents

In order to keep Wyoming residents safe and informed, the Town of Wyoming has partnered with CivicReady to implement its mass notification solution. The CivicReady solution will allow Wyoming to issue urgent notifications, emergency instructions, warnings, and routine communications to subscribed residents via emails, text messages, and voicemail alerts.

In the event of a local emergency, residents subscribed to CivicReady will benefit from immediate, actionable information and instructions sent via your preferred notification channel. For non-English speaking residents, CivicReady voice call notifications can be auto-matically translated into one of 20 languages, and email and text notifications can be auto-matically translated into one of 63 languages to maximize the effectiveness of the solution, ensuring mass awareness of potentially impactful situations.

There are several ways to sign up. You can visit https://wyoming.delaware.gov to sign up from the home page. You can also download the AlertMe – Regroup mobile app. Residents can register through the CivicReady network first, and then access your app with the same username and password that you used to log into the web-site. If you register through the AlertMe app, you will need the registration code WyomingDE to complete your registration.
