The Town of Wyoming will be holding a Public Hearing on Monday, December 5, 2011, at 7:00 p.m. at the Wyoming Annex.  This hearing is scheduled to hear, discuss, and answer questions pertaining to a Conditional Use application for 10802 Westville Road to have a lawn mower repair shop in one of the commercial warehouses at this address.  The issue will then be voted on by Council at the December Town Council Meeting at 7:30 p.m. following the Public Hearing.  If you have any questions, you are strongly urged to attend the meetings.  If you are unable to attend, please address all questions and concerns in writing to the Wyoming Town Hall, 1 N. Railroad Avenue, Wyoming, DE 19934 no later than 4:30 p.m. December 5, 2011.

The Town of Wyoming Board of Adjustment will hold a Public Hearing on Wednesday, August 31, 2011, at 7:30 p.m. at the Wyoming Town Annex, 10 S. Railroad Ave., Wyoming, Delaware.  The purpose of the meeting is to receive
testimony and render a decision on the following variance request:

Mr. Bradford L. Smith and Mr. Brook W. Smith, brothers, are seeking a variance in order to subdivide a property they own at 42 S. Railroad Avenue into two lots, one facing Railroad Avenue which has a home already existing on it and one facing Mechanic Street on which they wish to build a second home.  One brother will live in one of the homes and the other brother will live in the other.  They wish to be able to move back into Wyoming where they grew up and where their father still lives on Southern Boulevard.

The variance is needed due to the proposed subdivision causing each property to be less than the required 10,000 SF for a buildable lot.  The street footage on the proposed Mechanic Street lot will also be slightly less than the required 65 feet.

The issue will then be voted on by Council at the Town Council Meeting at 7:30 p.m. following the Public Hearing.  If you have any questions, you are strongly urged to attend the meetings.  If you are unable to attend, please address all questions and concerns in writing to the Wyoming Town Hall, 1 N. Railroad Avenue, Wyoming, DE 19934 no later than 4:30 p.m. April 4, 2011.

The Planning & Zoning Committee will be reviewing this application and making a recommendation to Council at their March 8, 2011 meeting @ 7:30 p.m. @ the Wyoming Annex.  The public is welcome.

The Wyoming Town Council will hold a Public Hearing to present, discuss and accept public comments and questions relating to the Final Draft of the 2010 Update of the 2004 Wyoming Comprehensive Plan. The Hearing will be held on Monday, March 7, 2011 at the Wyoming Annex, 10 S. Railroad Avenue at 7:00 p.m. Anyone with questions who cannot attend the public hearing may drop off written questions to the Wyoming Town Hall no later than 4:30 p.m. on March 7th.
