Michael L. Brown Scholarship
Pfc. Michael L. Brown was employed by the Wyoming Police Department for 22 months. During his time with the police department he distinguished himself as not only an outstanding police officer, but an outstanding young man.
Mike had a passion for and an outlook on life not found in many young men today. He knew his place in society and had a keen knack for people. Mike could fit in with any group, young or old. His untimely death was a tragic loss to the Town of Wyoming, the Wyoming Police Department, and the State of Delaware as well as his family. He is missed by many.
Mike was an outstanding baseball player having played in the local area in Little League, high school, and in college in New York. He turned down a tryout with the Atlanta Braves to pursue a career in law enforcement. Since Mike worked in the Town of Wyoming and the town is served by the Caesar Rodney School District, this scholarship will be limited to a graduating senior from CRHS that played on the baseball or softball team for the school.
